It was smiles all around this week as Grow Early Education Hervey Bay donated the proceeds from their Easter Raffle to the Hervey Bay Paediatrics Unit.
The childcare facility surveyed families by asking ‘Who in our community holds a special place in your heart?’.
Surprisingly the response was unanimous, Hervey Bay Paediatrics Unit.
Grow Early Education Hervey Bay Director Jenna and Assistant Director Belinda expressed their delight in supporting such a vital part of the Hervey Bay Hospital.
“Our choice this year was to donate all the funds raised to the Hervey Bay Paediatric Unit to support the impact they make on children who spend time in their ward,” they said.
“On behalf of everyone here at Grow Early Education Hervey Bay, thank you to all the amazing staff at the Hervey Bay Hospital Paediatrics Unit, you are seen, you are heard, and mostly; you are extremely appreciated.
“We can’t wait to hear what amazing things this unit are going to do with the proceeds.”
Hervey Bay Hospital Operations Director Ciaran McSherry and Family and Community NUM Stephanie Davidson visited the centre to have a look around and accept the donation from the childcare team.
